BATCHED GRAPEFRUIT MARGARITAS
Batching cocktails is like throwing a party in a bottle! First off, it saves time - no need to play bartender and mix drinks for every guest. Instead, you can whip up a delightful batch of goodness and let everyone serve themselves. It means more time for me to sip, savour, and chat with my mates.
Feel free to do this with heaps of different cocktails, but be aware you’re not shaking the drink, or the aim is to not, so for other cocktails like a classic gimlet, I will water down the batch slightly to mimic and skip the shaken/stirred with ice step. I stick to around 20% cold water to the the total amount and that generally works really well.
This grapefruit marg has been concocted so it doesn’t need to be watered down, with the balancing of the grapefruit juice, plus being poured over ice will allow it to dilute slowly.
Batching cocktails embodies efficiency, creativity, beautiful aesthetics, and good times with wonderful people. What’s not to love? Cheers to that!

Start by choosing how many margaritas you’re looking to make. I have provided different serve amounts, but essentially, choose your amount of serves and then times it by the single serve.
Pour the content into a large bottle and then place in fridge to chill. When ready to serve, salt rim small rock glasses and then fill with ice before pouring out 150ml of the mixture over the ice (give the bottle a good shake before you pour) and a quick stir in the glass. Finish with a grapefruit wedge for garnish or a dehydrated citrus wheel.
